Job Role: Senior AutoCAD Technician
2LMN is seeking an experienced AutoCAD Technician to join our team. This role involves supporting civil engineering design projects through the preparation of detailed drawings, plans, and layouts. The ideal candidate will be skilled in AutoCAD and have experience working on a variety of civil engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of civil engineering design plans for roadway, bridge, and infrastructure projects using AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
- Develop accurate and detailed 2D and 3D design models and drawings in coordination with project engineers.
- Review design layouts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to client specifications and industry standards.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to make revisions to drawings as necessary based on project feedback and changes.
- Perform quality control checks on designs and drawings before final submission.
- Maintain organized project files and adhere to company CAD standards.
- Assist in preparing technical documents, reports, and other supporting documentation for project submissions.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or technical diploma in drafting, civil engineering technology, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience as an AutoCAD Technician, preferably in a civil engineering or transportation setting.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and industry standards, especially in roadway, drainage, utility, and structural design.
- Ability to interpret engineering sketches, designs, and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with a diverse team of engineers, designers, and project managers.
- Experience working with both public and private sector clients is a plus.
